CNC Turning Multi-Spindle Setter Programmer

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £17.00 - £18.00 per hour depending on experience

Job Type: Permanent

Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:30, 07:30 - 13:30 Friday

Engineering @ 365 is currently working with a well-established precision engineering manufacturer based in Birmingham, recruiting for a Multi-Spindle Setter on a permanent basis.

Job Description: Working in a busy manufacturing environment producing precision brass turned components, you will be responsible for changing over machines, setting tooling and attachments, and ensuring the manufacture of high-volume, complex turned parts to the required quality standards. On-the-job training will be provided where necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Change over a variety of tools and attachments for new and existing components.
  • Set and adjust multi-spindle machines to ensure accurate production.
  • Use direct measuring equipment to check components and maintain quality standards.
  • Meet production and quality targets consistently.
  • Carry out routine maintenance on machinery and equipment.
  • Machine minding when operators are unavailable.
  • Contribute to Lean Manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience setting multi-spindle machines.
