The Role

We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Site Engineer to join our client’s established groundworks and civil engineering team, delivering projects along the M4 corridor from Swindon through to Bristol. This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of setting out, site checks, and technical support, ensuring projects are delivered safely, accurately, and on time.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Setting out for foundations, drainage, roads, and external works
  • Liaising with project teams, site managers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Checking drawings, plans, and quantities for accuracy
  • Producing as-built records and maintaining precise site data
  • Ensuring safety, quality, and environmental standards are consistently upheld

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in a Site Engineering role within groundworks or civil engineering
  • Proficiency with robotic total stations and other setting out equipment
  • Strong technical knowledge and a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across site teams

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with Trimble equipment and software
