The Role
We’re working with a highly regarded contractor in the social housing sector, who are looking to expand their pre-construction team with the addition of an experienced Senior Estimator. With flexibility to be based out of Leighton Buzzard, you’ll be part of a collaborative commercial team delivering accurate and competitive pricing for refurbishment projects across the UK. This is a hybrid role offering 3 days in the office and 2 from home. The position is focused on pricing social housing refurbishment schemes from first principles – including kitchens, bathrooms, rewires, externals, and other planned works. You’ll be working alongside the Bid and Operational teams and will be encouraged to take ownership of tenders from concept to submission.

What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator, ideally within social housing refurbishment
- Strong understanding of cost planning and pricing from first principles
- Confidence in managing large-scale schemes and multiple smaller jobs simultaneously
- Experience using Causeway or similar estimating software (preferred)
- Solid commercial awareness and ability to liaise with clients, architects, and internal departments
- Knowledge of SMM7 or NRM measurement methods
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-driven, commercially astute, and a team player
