We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plant Fitter / Heavy Plant Mechanic to join a growing engineering team, working on a fleet of diesel-powered machinery. This position offers full training on specialist equipment, starting in the depot before progressing to site work when comfortable — ideal for anyone who wants a long-term career path and higher earning potential.

Plant Fitter responsibilities:

  • Routine maintenance, repairs, fault finding and inspections
  • Working on a range of heavy plant equipment excavators, dumpers, telehandlers both tracked and wheeled machinery
  • Hydraulic and diesel diagnostics
  • Preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and maximise reliability
  • Working independently and as part of a team to resolve technical issues
