The Role
We are looking for an experienced Mobile HGV Technician with strong knowledge of municipal vehicles to join our client's team. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for keeping refuse trucks, sweepers, and other municipal vehicles in safe, road-worthy condition.
What You Will Be Doing
- Carrying out inspections, servicing, MOT prep and repairs on municipal vehicles.
- Diagnosing and fixing electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ensuring vehicles are compliant with all safety and legal standards.
- Completing accurate paperwork and using fleet systems to log work.
- Supporting with pre-delivery inspections of new fleet vehicles.
What You Will Bring
- At least 5 years' experience working on HGVs / municipal vehicles.
- Solid knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- A full HGV Category C licence (Class 2).
- Strong organisation skills and the ability to work on your own initiative.
- Previous experience supervising or leading people would be an advantage.
