The Role

Our client, a leading asset finance provider, is growing its footprint across the Construction & Recycling sectors. You’ll develop new business and long-term relationships across your territory, offering tailored asset finance solutions for deals typically £70k–£100k. With a strong brand behind you and significant inbound interest, you’ll focus on proactive new customer acquisition rather than relying on a legacy portfolio.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Proactively build a pipeline of new customers across construction and recycling, converting quality opportunities to meet and exceed quarterly targets.
  • Own the end-to-end sales cycle: prospecting, meetings/site visits, structuring proposals, presenting terms, negotiating and closing.
  • Produce robust credit applications and work closely with Risk/Underwriting to secure timely lending decisions.
  • Act as a credible partner on asset/equipment finance (plant, recycling equipment, etc.), staying current on market trends and competitor offerings.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure full compliance with internal policies, FCA regulations and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF).
  • Represent the brand professionally with customers ranging from blue-chips to owner-operators.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven success in Asset Finance sales (new business focus), consistently hitting targets.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Self-starter who can plan territory activity, manage a contact strategy and convert meetings into revenue.
  • Credibility with construction/recycling customers and/or prior plant sales experience (highly desirable).
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively within your region.

Territory & Travel

South London – Surrey/South Sussex. This is a home-based, field role with frequent customer visits.

What’s On Offer

  • £50k–£60k basic plus quarterly bonuses (OTE c. £100k).
  • Company car allowance £600–£700 per month + fuel card.
  • 10% pension and Bupa healthcare.
  • Backing from a well-known brand with significant market presence and a team lending £250m+ per year.
  • Inclusive culture with flexibility to help you balance work and home life.

Compliance & Governance

Adhere to FCA regulations at all times and ensure the Treating Customers Fairly initiative is fully met. Align with the organisation’s Enterprise Risk Management framework and reporting standards.

It Would Be Great If You Also Have

  • Working knowledge of construction & recycling assets/equipment (e.g., plant, materials handling, recycling technology).
  • Confidence analysing and interpreting financial information to support proposals.
