The Role
We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician with strong knowledge of municipal vehicles to join our client’s team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for keeping refuse trucks, sweepers, and other vehicles in safe, roadworthy condition.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out inspections, servicing, MOT prep and repairs on a range of HGV vehicles
- Diagnosing and fixing electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Ensuring vehicles are compliant with all safety and legal standards
- Completing accurate paperwork and using fleet systems to log work
- Supporting with pre-delivery inspections of new fleet vehicles
What You’ll Bring
- Experience working on HGVs / municipal vehicles
- Solid knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- A full HGV Category C licence- (Ideally, but not a must)
- Strong organisation skills and the ability to work on your own initiative
- Previous experience supervising or leading people would be an advantage
