We’re supporting a well-established plant hire business in Motherwell who are looking for a reliable and safety-minded Class 1 HIAB Driver. Your main job will be transporting plant machinery, making sure everything is loaded, secured, and delivered safely. This position suits someone who’s confident with HIAB work, understands the demands of plant movements, and can get the job done with minimal supervision.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Transport plant machinery between depots and live sites
- Load and unload using HIAB equipment in a safe, controlled manner
- Carry out daily walkaround checks and report defects immediately
- Make sure every load is secured correctly and legally
- Plan routes and manage your time to hit delivery and collection windows
- Represent the company professionally when dealing with site teams
Skills & Experience You’ll Need
- Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence
- CPC and Digital Tachograph card (current)
- HIAB certification (essential)
- Load & Secure qualification
- Experience working with plant or heavy equipment
- Strong awareness of industry safety standards and procedures
- Able to work independently and use initiative on busy days
