We are partnered with a renowned architectural CGI firm with a strong quality over quantity, looking for standout Senior level 3D Architectural CGI Artists who are capable of producing best in class photorealistic exterior architectural imagery for a broad variety of architectural and built environment projects. This is an exteriors-first CGI position, working closely with the firm's architectural CGI teams.
You will be collaborating on very high-end projects for both UK and international clients, working on schemes across property, commercial design, luxury real estate, architecture and wider built environment schemes. You will play a key role in how projects are communicated in terms of composition, look and feel, so that they’re telling stories, invoking a desired feel or emotion and desirability which will be experienced by clients and stakeholders.
This role requires you to be based in the UK, ideally in London or on the north, south or eastern sides of London or the Home Counties. We are considering UK-based residents only for this one and you will need a UK driving licence.
Role and responsibilities:
- Work within a talented, design-led team of senior architectural CGI artists and architects, producing imagery to the highest standard.
- Create visuals that allow clients, stakeholders and wider project teams to fully understand and immerse themselves in the practice or developer proposals.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of producing top-quality architectural and built environment imagery for commercial projects, ideally including international work.
- Collaborate closely with architects and designers, contributing to design development as well as final presentation imagery throughout every stage of the planning and design cycle.
- Use tools such as 3DS Max, Photoshop, and current commercially used AI image enhancing solutions.
- Review and present to clients on occasions.
We are looking for strong communicators who are confident in their ability, self-motivated and committed to delivering the highest quality work at all times. The team values imagery that is rooted in design integrity, exacting measurements, geographic relevance and cultural accuracy, with compositions that set the scene, tell a story and enable viewers to fully imagine and engage with a project.
Our client has become renowned for the quality of its visual communication and does not settle for less. The team is continually raising the bar, pushing the limits of what is possible in architectural visualisation, and this is a key reason their clients return over and again.
Skills and experience:
- 5+ years of professional, commercial experience with all of the following: 3ds Max, V-Ray, Photoshop, exceptional level, current commercially used AI image enhancing solutions.
- Knowledge of the following would be beneficial: After Effects, Premiere, AutoCAD (or other CAD packages used in architectural practice).
- The ideal candidates will come from a quality obsessed studio or practice studio environment.
- Experience contributing to early stage visual narratives, planning imagery and final presentation or marketing visuals is particularly valuable.
We welcome applications from across the UK, but you must be able to attend the studio. If you are out of London, you need to locate to a commutable distance potentially. If you are prepared to relocate within a commutable distance that’s equally of interest. You are encouraged to apply regardless as there may be a solution that can be reached. Otherwise, a north, east or south London location is desirable.
This is a full-time, permanent hybrid role with standard working hours of 9:00-17:30. All applications are handled in the strictest confidence. We are particularly keen to hear from exceptional mid-level and proven upper-level senior or lead artists with relevant portfolios who are interested in working within a respected architectural CGI environment.
You will be required to work as a 360-degree artist in this role, contributing across the full lifecycle of the project or development, to final presentation imagery.
