ENGin pairs English-fluent volunteers from around the world with Ukrainian learners for weekly online conversation practice. Pairs are matched 1-on-1 based on preferences, interests, and availability to ensure an effective and mutually enjoyable communication experience. ENGin supports learners and volunteers throughout participation with tips, resources, and problem resolution. We screen every learner and volunteer to ensure fit for the program and provide training and orientation.
Since launching in 2020, ENGin has connected over 26,000 Ukrainians with over 24,000 volunteers. 99% of our learners report breaking the language barrier after 3 months of participation in our program. 79% of participants form lasting friendships.

Qualifications and training
