My client is one of the largest independent lift companies in the UK, with a strong presence across multiple regions. They specialise in lift installation, maintenance, modernisation, and repair for a wide range of clients, including commercial, residential, healthcare, and public sector buildings.
Known for their stable workforce and long-term contracts, they offer engineers well-structured service routes, competitive salaries, and excellent benefits. Due to company expansion and new contract wins, they are actively seeking an NVQ Level 3 Qualified Engineer to join their Glasgow Branch, covering a local route within the City of Edinburgh.
The role will involve the following duties:
- Carry out routine servicing and maintenance of lifts across a dedicated Edinburgh route.
- Perform minor repairs and adjustments to ensure lifts remain in top working condition.
- Respond to callouts and breakdowns, diagnosing faults and carrying out necessary repairs.
- Conduct safety checks and inspections in line with industry regulations and company standards.
- Provide excellent customer service, keeping clients informed of work carried out and any recommendations.
- Complete accurate service reports and documentation using company systems.
- Work in accordance with health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other engineers and management to ensure efficient service delivery.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to have the following:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in lift servicing and confidently carrying out small repairs.
- An NVQ/SVQ 3 in Lift Servicing or Installation.
- A full UK Driving License.
The position offers a fantastic remuneration package, including:
- A basic starting salary of up to £45,000pa with a view to review this after probation up to £48,000pa.
- Excellent standby and callout fees for participating in the night call rota.
- 25 days' annual leave, in addition to Bank Holidays.
- A company shareholder pension scheme, auto-enrolment after 3 months service.
- Brand new vans, with fuel card, phone and all uniform including boots.
