As a Trainee Shift Production Engineer at our Ffestiniog Power Station, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our renewable energy facilities. Responsibilities

  • Manage medium and short-term operational and maintenance activities at Ffestiniog Power Station
  • Prepare work orders and various permits under FHC Safety Rules
  • Establish and ensure safety for all staff through roles of Safety Controller and Safety Co-ordinator
  • Assist in diagnosing and rectifying faults using tools and software including SCADA
  • Contribute to short-term and long-term operational and maintenance requirements
  • Develop and review Operational Instructions as per manufacturers' recommendations
  • Proactively drive improvements and manage technical risks in accordance with good operating practice

Qualifications

  • Degree in an Engineering Discipline (or working towards one)
  • Experience in heavy engineering/power plant operations and/or maintenance
  • Knowledge of Safe Systems of Work, e.g., Power Station Safety Rules
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in leading staff
  • Excellent communicator with effective written and verbal skills
  • IOSH Managing Safely Certificate
  • Experience in planning, scheduling, and managing maintenance activities through computerized systems
  • Focused on delivering objectives and targets efficiently
