As an Applications Support Analyst, you will be at the heart of our IT operations. You will ensure our core business applications and customer-facing digital platforms perform at their best. Your work directly supports 360 colleagues and the customers they serve.
What You'll Do
- Manage 2nd and 3rd line application incidents, ensuring resolution within agreed SLAs
- Maintain and develop the incident knowledge base to drive continuous service improvement
- Coordinate with application vendors to deliver timely defect fixes and system upgrades
- Prepare and submit release instructions for UAT and Production environments, following change management procedures
- Collaborate with Infrastructure Analysts, DBAs, and Project Delivery teams to transition applications into support effectively
- Identify opportunities to improve existing systems and processes, reducing support overhead and enhancing customer experience
- Participate in the Out of Hours Applications Support rota for core operational systems
What You Bring
- Experience in application support within the UK energy supply or utilities sector
- Knowledge of ITIL-aligned practices including Change and Release Management, Service Request fulfilment, and Problem Management
- Familiarity with supporting systems such as Microsoft technologies, Oracle, and SQL Server
- Exposure to cloud-based platforms, principally Azure and AWS, including 3-tier application architectures
- Understanding of DevOps procedures, Data Factory, and digital pipeline development
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate solutions clearly to non-technical audiences
- A collaborative mindset with experience working in small, agile teams
- A-levels or equivalent, with relevant technical qualifications; ITIL Foundation certification and a degree in IT or Computer Science are desirable
Location
This role is based in Leeds two days a week, United Kingdom. The working arrangement is hybrid, combining office presence with remote flexibility. Occasional travel to other ENGIE sites may be required.
