Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor the AD plant independently during night shifts.
- Conduct regular physical checks and monitor plant performance.
- Communicate promptly with on-call Plant Operators and Regional Plant Manager to resolve issues.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for timely repairs.
- Perform minor mechanical maintenance tasks.
- Operate the weighbridge (training provided).
- Accurately record operational and maintenance events in the company database.
- Prepare routine performance reports.
- Demonstrate flexibility in covering annual leave and absences of colleagues.
Experience:
- Experienced in operating similar operational sites or possess broad maintenance experience.
- Comfortable with night shifts and lone working.
- Excellent understanding of environmental and commercial issues impacting plant operations.
- Proficient in monitoring via computer technology.
- Full UK driving licence holder.
- Skilled in operating telehandler/tractor/forklift (training provided).
- Strong IT skills with good numerical, analytical, and diagnostic abilities.
- Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance.
- Quick problem-solver with the ability to make prompt decisions.
- Positive, proactive, and reliable team player with excellent communication skills.
- Resilient and self-motivated, capable of working under own initiative.
Role specifics:
This is a night based role working 2496 hours per annum, with a shift pattern as agreed with the Regional Plant Manager (6pm to 6am) including weekends. The annualised hours include the shift pattern of 4 x 12 hour shifts on a four on/four off basis, plus training and additional days due to the rota pattern. There is also a requirement to provide holiday cover for your team when required.
