Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Supporting / leading wide-ranging sustainability appointments under the RIBA Green overlay framework with an emphasis on LEED, BREEAM & other certification schemes.
- Reviewing evidence/data analysis, issuing of reports, meeting minutes, technical reports, presentations and action lists.
- Liaising with other offices and delegating work as needed.
- Carrying out independent research to support the sustainability team and wider business.
- Assisting with project bids and tender preparation and co-ordination with wider bidding and design teams.
- Flexibility to assist the SS&CC team and wider business in meeting business/project deadlines.
- ESG data collection and analysis.
Required:
- Good working knowledge of LEED BD+C and BREEAM schemes.
Advantage:
- LEED AP and/or BREEAM AP qualifications.
Advantageous:
- Qualified in, a good working knowledge of or working towards qualification in one or more of the following: WELL, Fitwel, NABERs, ISO 50001/2, ISO 14001 LCEA level 5, EPC, TRUE, DNGB, IES, PAS 2080, LCA etc.
Educated to degree level or equivalent in engineering / environmental discipline.
12-18 months' experience delivering sustainability projects working with external stakeholders.
An understanding of the construction process in the UK.
Understanding of the design & planning process in the UK. Experience of interaction with planners advantageous.
General understanding of Building Services design and industry engineering terms.
Ability to produce high quality written reports.
Ability to work to deadlines and budgets.
Ability to prioritise workload.
Flexibility - to meet deadlines (and know when to push them back) and to travel to site meeting / inspections.
Good knowledge of excel and word/outlook.
Good knowledge of working online remotely from home using MS Teams / Zoom / Chime / Google Docs etc.
Good knowledge of MS office applications including PowerPoint and publisher.
Working knowledge of Tracker Plus and other project collaboration software such as 4projects, ACC, etc.
Ability to present clearly to design teams, in person and over video calls.
Accuracy/excellent attention to detail.
Working knowledge of QA systems and ISO9001/14001/50001 compliance advantageous.
Background in consulting or construction preferred.
Good understanding of international working and business operations of a global consultancy.
Understanding of how to embed sustainability into projects in general and follow the principles of the Sustainability guidelines of the Group both at work and beyond.
Act in an ethical manner and follow the principles of the Ethics Charter and Ethics in Practice Guidelines of the Group.
