Your expertise in LV systems will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, integrity, and performance of our low-voltage electrical infrastructure at the Dinorwig and Ffestiniog Power Stations. Summary of what you will do:
- Deliver plant refurbishment, maintenance, and replacement projects within assigned budgets.
- Plan and manage resources, including contractors and internal teams, to meet business objectives.
- Provide expert advice on LV systems to develop innovative solutions.
- Ensure statutory compliance and implement initiatives to improve quality, environmental, health, and safety management.
- Investigate LV faults, solve plant-level problems, and implement corrective actions to enhance performance.
- Assist with inspection and verification of LV installations in accordance with BS7671 and statutory legislation.
- Support LV maintenance strategies and maintain LV documentation, schedules, and test records.
What you will bring to the role:
- Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent relevant qualifications/experience.
- Qualification and knowledge/experience in the application of BS (th Edition) wiring regulations.
- Experience with LV inspection & testing including Initial Verification and Periodic Inspection.
- Strong understanding of LV distribution, small-power systems, and lighting.
- Ability to interpret and update LV documentation, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Experience in engineering environments, particularly in the energy sector or similar installations.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Confident and innovative self-starter with a pragmatic approach to maintenance/engineering.
Job Based In: This is a site-based role. It is expected that the candidates would need to work at both Dinorwig and Ffestiniog power stations which are located in the Snowdonia (Eryri) region of Wales.
