We add value with our people, client service ethos, global delivery strategy, technical ability, and attitude.We now seek a Asset Life Cycle Manager, to be based out of our London office.Role ResponsibilitiesTakes Team Management and leadership role in the development and design and coordination of engineering project services. Assists the Directors with Business strategy and management. Carries out cost and profit diagnosis on projects including feasibility studies and preparation of project fee proposalsWorking closely with clients and project team to establish project requirementsReviews status advised by project personnel and external parties and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares project reports for Management, Client or others.Develops and specifies applications of controls, instruments, and operating systems for all building engineering services purposesSurveys, tests and reports on existing electrical/mechanical installationsFiscal and commercial management of projects to ensure they return the target marginLeadership and hands on delivery of monitoring of construction and installation on projectsLiaising with existing clients to establish long term relationships and future upcoming projectsLiaising with future client prospects and general business development.Specifies activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing confirm to functional specifications and customer requirementsRepresents Company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams and contractors teamsCarries out engineering calculations to ensure drawings meet required robust industry and legal standardsHands on involvement in local office management in conjunction with other members of the senior management teamSupport clients in tender and procurement of MEP contractors and MEP equipment.Leads on the coordination of engineering services, together with hands on delivery of concept and details designsEnsures risk and performance monitoring analysis takes place through effective systems of internal control and delegationMentoring and development of younger members of the engineering teamSurveys and due diligence reports of existing data centresTakes a holistic view in the selection and application of engineering concepts and solutionsSupport the delivery of projects in accordance with the expectations of the RED Project Delivery Process from a Project Management, Financial Management, QA/QC and Technical Review perspective.Ensure project documentation is producedManage the project set up for the purposes of managing the full project life cycle processCarry out Kick Off meeting for all new projects with the client, design team, contractors and vendorsEnsure project progress reports for Management, Client or others are produced and issued.Liaise with Consultant and Contractors in a proactive manner to close out any project related issues arisingEnsure all project completion documentation and reports are produced as requiredSupport the delivery of projects in accordance with the expectations of the RED Project Delivery Process from a Project Management, Financial Management, QA/QC and Technical Review perspective.Manage and mentor other team membersActively engage with the different RED departments to increase awareness and develop working interfacesWork in coordination with the project teams to develop and improve processes and proceduresActively engage in business development both internally and externallyRole RequirementsBSc/BEng in appropriate engineering discipline/BEng General Building Services or have sufficient equivalent experience MCIBSE/MIEE or HND/HNC + appropriate experience or equivalent Chartered Eng status or working towards 5+ years of experience of managing asset and life cycle works in a live critical environment Knowledge of maintenance and facilities management protocols Experience of specification design and project management for asset replacement and data centre projects in operational environments Experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders – clients, vendors, contractors Knowledge of documentation production, procedures, requirements Experience of having managed projects abroad (desirable)Understanding of relevant British, European and ISO standardsSound knowledge & working application of key health and safety issues and legislation Appreciation & working knowledge of contract and business law Knowledge of MS office applications word, excel etc Flexible and self-motivational approach to work Good understanding of BS and EU standards/ UK regulations/codes Experience and understanding of invoicing and credit control Ability to prioritise own workload Ability to manage and build a team Ability to work to deadlines Presentation skills Leadership & mentoring skills Chairing/facilitation of meeting skillBackground in consulting, operations or maintenance preferred.Good understanding of international working and business operations of a global consultancy, operations or maintenance company.Act in
