As a Technical Project Manager (Electrical) at First Hydro Company, you will play a crucial role in driving complex engineering projects that contribute to our mission of decarbonization and innovation in the power generation sector.

Summary Of What You Will Do

  • To steer day-to-day project activities, aligning priorities with organizational objectives
  • To manage project delivery within specification, budget, schedule, and quality standards
  • To lead and motivate a multi-discipline team, fostering a culture of excellence and safety
  • To proactively manage project risks and opportunities, ensuring successful outcomes
  • To interface with other projects and work groups, coordinating activities effectively
  • To prepare and present comprehensive project performance reports and forecasts
  • To oversee the transfer of physical assets and information during project execution and close-out

What You Will Bring To The Role

  • An experienced professional with a degree in an engineering discipline
  • A certified project manager (APM Practitioner or PMI Project Management Professional)
  • A safety-conscious leader with IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate
  • An expert in managing complex contracts in engineering design and construction environments
  • A collaborative team player with strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • A strategic thinker with a deep understanding of technical, contractual, and project management principles
  • An effective communicator capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ideally, you have experience in the power generation or heavy engineering industry
