ENGIE is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Lead to drive procurement excellence as part of our mission to accelerate the transition to a carbon-neutral world.
What you will do
Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing (80%): Proactively procure high-value goods and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with ENGIE\’s Code of Conduct.
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing contracts, focusing on categories such as IT, consultancy, MRO, and equipment.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive value and innovation.
- Mentor and develop junior procurement staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Procurement Excellence & Data Analytics (20%): Develop and maintain dashboards and visual management tools using Power BI.
- Support decision-making with data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Lead digitisation initiatives to enhance procurement operations.
What we are looking for
- 5–7 years of experience in procurement, particularly with high-value contracts.
- Proficiency in IT systems and procurement ERP systems (SAP/Ariba knowledge is a plus).
- Experience with Microsoft 365; familiarity with Power BI or Power Automate.
- Analytical thinker with a passion for continuous improvement and process automation.
- Strong negotiator with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Degree in a relevant field, with CIPS qualification or willingness to pursue it.
- Full driving licence and own transport.
Job base and travel
This is a hybrid role primarily based in our London office, with weekly travel (one day per week) to our Cheshire location. The arrangement balances in-person collaboration with remote productivity.
