We have 3 core areas of expertise: renewable energy, flexibility and clients. We produce renewable electricity from the sun, from onshore and offshore wind and green gas from our biomethane plants. We are the UK’s largest provider of highly flexible energy storage, both for electricity and gas.

We’re now looking for an HSE Supervisor to support our growing Renewables & Batteries portfolio, helping to ensure the highest standards of Health, Safety and Environment across both operational assets and projects under construction.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Asset Manager – Renewables & Batteries, you’ll play a key role in overseeing HSE performance across the UK and Ireland. You’ll work closely with asset managers, project and construction teams, and ENGIE’s central HSE function, acting as a point of contact for HSE matters and supporting a strong, positive safety culture across the business. This is a varied role offering exposure across development, construction and operational phases of renewable energy assets.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Overseeing Health, Safety and Environmental performance across operational renewable and battery assets
  • Providing HSE oversight and guidance to projects under construction
  • Supporting compliance with ENGIE HSE standards, group guidelines and construction contracts
  • Advising Business Development and Project teams on CDM 2015 Regulations and equivalent regulations in the Republic of Ireland
  • Carrying out site audits, inspections and producing HSE reports
  • Supporting ISO accreditations, due diligence activities and incident investigations
  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Experience supporting wind, solar and/or battery energy storage assets in construction and operation
  • Strong working knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation, principles and best practice
  • Experience in a Health and Safety role within construction and/or process industries
  • Experience implementing CDM Regulations (UK) and equivalent regulations in Ireland
  • An accredited professional Health & Safety qualification

Desirable

  • Experience with Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR)
  • A recognised Fire Risk Assessor qualification

What We’ll Offer You

We support flexible working while recognising the value of coming together for collaboration and on‑site support.

Contract type: Permanent

Location: Flexible

Working pattern: Hybrid – 2 days per week in the office or on site, 3 days working from home

Salary: Dependent on experience

Bonus: Annual bonus

Benefits include:

  • Pension contributions up to 12%
  • Life assurance
  • Company share scheme
  • 28 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidays
  • Private medical, health and dental care
