We need a skilled Production Planner to keep these iconic facilities running at peak performance. You will join a dedicated team responsible for maintaining Dinorwig and Ffestiniog Power Stations. Your planning expertise will directly support plant availability and the energy transition.
Summary Of What You Will Do
- Own long-term and short-term maintenance planning for Dinorwig and/or Ffestiniog Power Stations, maximising plant availability.
- Coordinate daily work activities with Maintenance, Production, Shift, and Asset Management teams to deliver an effective maintenance philosophy.
- Plan and schedule work packages, ensuring efficient use of resources, time, and materials across the team.
- Manage the maintenance management system and scheduling tools, maintaining accurate plant history records and statutory compliance.
- Prepare and assess risk assessments and method statements in line with PUWER, LOLER, and site procedures.
- Manage procurement of plant spares, equipment, and contract services within authorised expenditure limits.
- Contribute to continuous improvement programmes including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.
What You Will Bring To The Role
- BTEC National Certificate, City and Guilds Level 3, or NVQ Level 3 in a craft discipline with a completed recognised apprenticeship.
- IOSH Managing Safely qualification or equivalent.
- Proven experience in planning and scheduling within a heavy engineering or industrial environment.
- Technical knowledge of power plant operations, engineering, and maintenance practices.
- Strong understanding of Environmental, Health and Safety legislation and QEH&S management systems.
- Excellent IT skills including Maintenance Management Systems and MS Project.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with a flexible, solution-oriented approach to unforeseen challenges.
- Desirable: Higher National Certificate or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
Location
Dinorwig and/or Ffestiniog Power Stations, Gwynedd, North Wales. This is an on-site role.
