We are looking for a Document Controller to keep our Production Department running efficiently, ensuring every document is accurate, accessible, and audit-ready. Your work will directly support the safe and compliant operation of our assets. This is a hands-on role where organisation meets impact. You will be the go-to person for document management across the Production function, supporting teams, contractors, and stakeholders with reliable information every day.

Summary Of What You Will Do

  • Manage the retrieval, coordination, and distribution of all key Production documents, including Emergency Control and Management Procedure folders.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the Production Document Management System, ensuring accuracy of registers, metadata, and revision history.
  • Provide administrative support including monthly accruals, KPI updates, timesheets, requisitions, and minute taking for Production meetings.
  • Coordinate site inductions, visitor management, and incoming and outgoing correspondence across internal and external parties.
  • Support internal audits by maintaining audit-ready document trails and ensuring compliance with document control policies.
  • Assist with raising statutory defect work orders in Maximo/Crimson and support the handover process for new plant and equipment.
  • Deliver guidance and training to colleagues on document control processes, promoting best practice and consistency across the business.

What You Will Bring To The Role

  • Experience using Document Control or Document Management Systems in an industrial or operational environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to managing multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with Electronic Document Management Systems.
  • Effective communication skills with the confidence to challenge teams where documentation quality needs improvement.
  • Minimum five GCSEs at grade C or above, including English and Maths.
  • A proactive, self-motivated attitude with high levels of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Desirable: experience in a power station, engineering, utilities, or similar high-hazard environment, or qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, BTEC Level 3, or ISO 9001 awareness training.

Location

This is an on-site role based at our operational facility at Dinorwig, however flexibility will be required to support our facility at Ffestiniog when required.
