We are looking for a Facilities Coordinator to ensure our iconic sites remain safe, compliant, and operationally excellent — supporting the people and infrastructure that keep clean energy flowing.

Summary of What You Will Do

  • Coordinate day‑to‑day facilities services across First Hydro Company sites, managing inspections, maintenance contracts, and building fabric upkeep.
  • Oversee contractor performance, ensuring risk assessments, method statements, and health and safety documentation are in place and compliant.
  • Coordinate fire safety compliance activities alongside the First Hydro Fire Officer, maintaining fixed fire systems and passive fire protection measures.
  • Manage small to medium contractor‑led projects, monitoring progress, quality, cost, and completion against requirements.
  • Maintain statutory inspection records and compliance actions, ensuring audit‑readiness and escalating overdue or high‑risk items.
  • Track facilities performance indicators, identify trends, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, and specialist advisors to deliver coordinated services.

What You Will Bring To The Role

  • Proven facilities management experience in an industrial or power station environment.
  • Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation, fire risk assessment reviews, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience coordinating contractors, including managing permits, site rules, and health and safety documentation.
  • Education to A-Level or HND level as a minimum, with strong written and numerical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and maintenance management systems.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities methodically and accurately.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive, self‑motivated approach to problem‑solving.

Location

This role will be primarily based at Dinorwig Power Station, Llanberis, North Wales. Some travel to other sites in North Wales will be required.
