Summary Of What You Will Do
- Operate and monitor the AD plant independently during night shifts
- Conduct regular physical checks and monitor plant performance
- Communicate promptly with on‑call Plant Operators and Regional Plant Manager to resolve issues
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for timely repairs
- Perform minor mechanical maintenance tasks
- Operate the weighbridge (training provided)
- Accurately record operational and maintenance events in the company database
- Prepare routine performance reports
- Demonstrate flexibility in covering annual leave and absences of colleagues
What You Will Bring To The Role
- Experienced in operating similar operational sites or possess broad maintenance experience
- Comfortable with night shifts and lone working
- Excellent understanding of environmental and commercial issues impacting plant operations
- Proficient in monitoring via computer technology
- Full UK driving licence holder
- Skilled in operating telehandler/tractor/forklift (training provided)
- Strong IT skills with good numerical, analytical, and diagnostic abilities
- Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance
- Quick problem‑solver with the ability to make prompt decisions
- Positive, proactive, and reliable team player with excellent communication skills

Job Based In Rainbarrow Farm, Poundbury near Dorchester. This role requires on‑site presence and involves lone working at night. This is a night‑based role working 2,496 hours per annum working a shift pattern as agreed with the Regional Plant Manager (6pm to 6am) including weekends. The annualised hours include the shift pattern of 4 x 12‑hour shifts on a four on/four off basis plus training and additional days due to the rota pattern. There is also the requirement to provide holiday cover for your team when required.
