As an Assistant Engineer in our Mechanical team, you will play a crucial role at the Dynamic First Hydro Power Station in ensuring the safe operation, integrity, and performance of both Dinorwig and Ffestiniog assets. What You Will Do
- Deliver plant refurbishment, maintenance, and replacement projects within assigned budgets
- Plan and manage resources, including contractors, to meet business objectives
- Assist in the assessment, selection, and management of contracts
- Provide expert advice within your plant area specialism to develop innovative solutions
- Implement initiatives to improve quality, environmental, health, and safety management
- Support the Engineering Discipline Head in asset management and risk assessment
- Investigate and solve plant-level problems to enhance performance
- Contribute to a positive team environment and collaborate across departments
What You Will Bring To The Role
- Engineering or equivalent qualifications/experience
- IOSH Managing Safely certification
- Experience in engineering environments, particularly in the energy sector
- Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety legislation relevant to mechanical engineering
- Ability to identify and diagnose technical problems with support from line manager
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Innovative thinker with a passion for sustainable energy solutions
Job Based In Dinorwig, Llanberis. This position requires on-site presence to effectively manage and oversee mechanical engineering projects and plant operations.
