  • Role Responsibilities
  • Run medium‑size projects.
  • Lead client‑facing design and coordination of mechanical or electrical installations, systems, equipment, and facilities.
  • Develop and specify control systems, instruments, and operating systems for building services.
  • Survey, test, and report on existing electrical and mechanical installations.
  • Specify activities to ensure manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing meet functional specifications and customer requirements.
  • Make day‑to‑day decisions on project progress and liaison with clients.
  • Represent the company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams, and contractors.
  • Perform engineering calculations to ensure drawings meet robust industry and legal standards.
  • Ensure technical content and accuracy for trainees, graduates, and engineers.
  • Validate and check designs and specifications.
  • Support project delivery in line with the RED Project Delivery Process from project management, financial management, QA/QC, and technical review perspectives.
  • Role Requirements
  • BEng, MSc, or equivalent with sufficient experience.
  • MCIBSE/MIEE or HNC/HND plus appropriate experience, or equivalent.
  • Working toward Chartered Engineer status.
  • Competence in specification design and drawing for multiple building types.
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Ability to use IT‑based calculation and spreadsheet software.
  • Good understanding of BS standards.
  • Strong prioritisation and deadline management skills.
  • Managerial skills.
  • Background in consulting or construction preferred.
  • Understanding of international consulting and business operations of a global consultancy.
  • Act in an ethical manner and adhere to the Ethics Charter and Ethics in Practice Guidelines.
