About the role
We are looking for a Performance Analyst to join our UK Renewables team. The purpose of the role is to lead the assessment and monitoring of the UK Renewable Generation assets (wind, solar, and battery storage) to achieve key business objectives and optimise financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and report on the day-to-day operations of renewable assets.
- Monitor sites for performance issues and implement corrective actions.
- Optimise sites to improve performance and availability.
- Manage contracts for all renewable assets in terms of availability and damages.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual operation and maintenance reports.
- Coordinate the transfer of new build projects from construction/commissioning to full commercial operation.
- Manage the integration of any operational assets acquired by the business.
- Conduct engineering and cost analysis of proposed OEM upgrade opportunities.
- Maintain records of all operational and maintenance activities for each asset.
- Manage and optimize services provided under LTMA/LTSA agreements.
- Meet Health and Safety, Environmental, Production, and Financial Targets and Improvement Plans.
- Communicate with the Asset Manager Renewables UK and trading teams for effective plant optimization.
- Manage relationships with key external third parties (e.g., maintenance providers, OEMs, grid operators).
- Calculate availability and liquidated damages.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree in Engineering, Maths, Statistics, Data Science, or similar.
- Experience in performance monitoring and reporting.
- Knowledge of wind turbine engineering and wind farm operations.
- Commercial awareness of the impact of turbine performance on project economics.
- Experience in developing and using maintenance management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage complex data and report to stakeholders.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in Python, statistical analysis (e.g., R), cloud-based computing, Power BI, and other dashboards.
- Experience in dispute management/resolution.
- Experience in performance assessment of solar and BESS.
- Knowledge of SCADA systems and IT architecture for operational technology.
