Role Responsibilities
- Run medium‑size projects.
- Lead client‑facing design and coordination of mechanical or electrical installations, systems, equipment, and facilities.
- Develop and specify control systems, instruments, and operating systems for building services.
- Survey, test, and report on existing electrical and mechanical installations.
- Specify activities to ensure manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing meet functional specifications and customer requirements.
- Make day‑to‑day decisions on project progress and liaison with clients.
- Represent the company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams, and contractors.
- Perform engineering calculations to ensure drawings meet robust industry and legal standards.
- Ensure technical content and accuracy for trainees, graduates, and engineers.
- Validate and check designs and specifications.
- Support project delivery in line with the RED Project Delivery Process from project management, financial management, QA/QC, and technical review perspectives.
Role Requirements
- BEng, MSc, or equivalent with sufficient experience.
- MCIBSE/MIEE or HNC/HND plus appropriate experience, or equivalent.
- Working toward Chartered Engineer status.
- Competence in specification design and drawing for multiple building types.
- Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Ability to use IT‑based calculation and spreadsheet software.
- Good understanding of BS standards.
- Strong prioritisation and deadline management skills.
- Managerial skills.
- Background in consulting or construction preferred.
- Understanding of international consulting and business operations of a global consultancy.
- Act in an ethical manner and adhere to the Ethics Charter and Ethics in Practice Guidelines.
