ENGIE UK is delighted to announce our 2025 Graduate Programme for Business Development and Operations Support, offering a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across various disciplines within the renewable energy sector while contributing to our mission of leading the transition to renewable energy.

About the Programme: Our graduate programme is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the renewable energy landscape at ENGIE. Based in London, you will support the development of onshore wind, solar, and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects in the UK. You will work closely with the BD team and the operations team to ensure the successful development and operation of renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Business Development team in the development of renewable energy projects, including reviewing planning applications, assisting in land negotiations, and securing grid connections.
  • Assist in the development and pre-construction phase of renewable energy projects, including layout design, securing technical studies, and supporting the procurement process.
  • Support performance analysis and operational improvement plans for operational assets.
  • Prepare internal governance reports.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the confidence to engage with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
  • Data analytics and reporting capabilities.
  • A valid driving licence, as some travel to site may be required.
  • Academic background related to Energy, Sustainability, or Renewable Energy.

Qualifications:

  • Essential: A 2:1 (or equivalent) degree classification or above in Engineering, Finance, or a related field.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience analysing SCADA data.
  • Student membership of an appropriate professional institution and exposure to modules or projects focused on renewable energy.
  • Proficiency in Python, statistical analysis (e.g., R), cloud-based computing, Power BI, or other dashboards.
  • Experience with GIS or CAD.
