We are looking for a passionate and skilledSushi Chefto join our team atJang, a vibrant restaurant Jang, located in the Mezzanine of the iconic Royal Exchange. About the Role
As a Sushi Chef at Jang, you will play a key role in our kitchen, responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality sushi and Asian-inspired dishes. You will be working closely with the Head Chef and supporting the kitchen's day-to-day operations. If you have a strong passion for Japanese and Korean cuisine and want to be part of a growing restaurant that values sustainability and excellence, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Responsibilities:
- Prepare sushiand other Asian-inspired dishes to the highest standards.
- Support the Head Chefwith the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen.
- Ensure Health & Safety standardsare adhered to and communicate these effectively to the team.
- Collaborate with the kitchen teamto produce high-quality food and maintain a positive work environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchento meet hygiene standards.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: Extensive knowledge of sushi preparation is essential! Previous experience in a similar role within an Asian cuisine restaurant is highly desirable.
- Skills:A passion for creating high-quality dishes with a keen eye for detail.
- Work Ethic:Highly motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic with a can-do attitude.
- Team Player:Ability to work well within a team, supporting colleagues and the Head Chef.
- Knowledge:Understanding of Korean and Japanese cuisine is a bonus.
- Legal Right to Work:Must have legal rights to work in the UK.
What We Offer:
