Key Responsibilities
- Address complex engineering challenges, identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with Engineering.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their Engineering objectives and challenges, offering strategic through to tactical guidance and actionable solutions.
- Conduct in-depth assessments of clients’ Engineering processes, systems and projects to identify areas for improvement.
- Analysis and assessment of client requirements and technical constraints.
- Design and development of technical solutions that meet client needs.
- Assist/lead in the implementation of recommended engineering solutions, working closely with client teams and external partners.
- Management and oversight of technical assurance and governance on Defence-related projects.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive reports and presentations that communicate technical concepts to non-technical people.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies and regulatory requirements.
- Work with other consultants to deliver comprehensive solutions for clients.
Purpose Of The Role
As a consultant, you will support Defence projects through the provision of technical support, and assist in developing solutions to meet the client’s needs across the Maritime, Air and Land domains within the UK Defence Sector, delivering and demonstrating a high-level of Engineering competence and experience to support customer requirements. You will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, have strong attention to detail, and demonstrate a fundamental understanding of Engineering systems and applications.
Essential Experience
- Demonstrable technical experience working within the UK Defence Sector, other Government Departments, or highly regulated industries.
- Deep technical knowledge in subject matter area.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of team on complex projects.
- Strong knowledge of technology trends, techniques, and methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication & stakeholder management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills.
Desirable
- Registered with a Professional Engineering Institute.
- EngTech (Level 2)
- Incorporated Engineering (Level 3)
- HND/HNC/FdEng or above (Technical)
