Engage Talent Partners are working with a well-established company in Aberdeen to recruit a Trainee Expeditor.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills and an interest in supply chain operations to grow their career in a supportive and fast-paced environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring orders are delivered on time, liaising with suppliers and customers, and supporting the wider Supply Management team.
Responsibilities:
– Contacting suppliers regularly to gather delivery updates
– Liaising with customers and keeping them informed
– Managing purchase order delivery dates and keeping systems up to date
– Updating order comments and timelines accurately
– Arranging freight and handling customs clearance
– Collaborating closely with the Supply Management team
The successful candidate will go through comprehensive on-the-job training and will learn all aspects of expediting, customer and supplier communication and basic logistics. You will have excellent communication skills, have a positive attitude and the ability to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will be computer literate, comfortable with all Microsoft Office applications and email – experience with Sage is advantageous.
