Engage Talent Partners are working exclusively with our client to source a Mechanical Design Engineer. Our client is an Aberdeen based company with a global client base covering oil and gas, renewables and defence and are looking to expand their team.
Key responsibilities:
- Design products from initial concept stage through to production in a professional and time efficient manner.
- Producing 3D CAD Models and detail drawings to provide solutions in accordance with clients’ requirements.
- Produce technical reports detailing work completed and the products produced, including but not limited to engineering calculations, Finite element analysis and other analysis.
- Assist in the development of company design systems, standards and procedures.
- Look for continuous improvement.
- Contribute development ideas for new and existing products.
- Review and improve department systems/procedures/guides and contribute to inter-department process improvements.
The ideal candidate for the role will have a degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering and exposure to producing innovative engineering solutions, preferably within the oil and gas industry. Our client is open to those educated at HND level with at least 3 years of relevant work experience. You will be comfortable using 3D CAD and Finite Element Analysis software such as Inventor (or similar), Ansys and MathCAD.
