Engage Talent Partners are working on an exclusive recruitment search with our Aberdeen/Westhill based client to source an Engineering Manager. Our client is a well-established manufacturing business with a global reach. This is a unique opportunity that will offer variety, autonomy, and challenge to the successful candidate.

Reporting directly to the CEO and managing a multi-disciplined engineering team consisting of Design Engineers, Project Engineers, and Designers, this role will suit an experienced Engineering Manager looking for a dynamic and challenging position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a multi-disciplined engineering team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
  • Oversee the delivery of multiple large-scale client projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Act as the primary technical authority and escalation point for complex engineering challenges.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering processes, systems, and workflows.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership, including direct reporting to the CEO, to align engineering strategy with business objectives.
  • Manage resource planning and allocation to ensure optimal utilisation across projects.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Support business development activities by contributing technical expertise to proposals and client discussions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Promote innovation and the adoption of new technologies to enhance engineering capability.

The ideal candidate will be degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline with proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role within a manufacturing or engineering environment. You will have a strong background in managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams with demonstrated experience delivering complex, large-scale engineering projects. You will possess excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on when required.
