Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine high-quality electrical designs for complex, technology-led engineering products.
- Create and update detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and panel layouts using industry-standard tools.
- Select and specify electrical components to meet performance, cost and reliability targets.
- Manage and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BoMs) and technical documentation throughout the design lifecycle.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant safety codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into broader product designs.
- Contribute to both new product development and the optimisation of existing electrical designs.
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Electrical Engineering and a proven background in industrial machinery or equipment design. You should be confident in panel design, circuit design, and power distribution, and familiar with wiring harnesses, component layout and design for manufacture.
Proficiency with tools like AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or Circuit Studio is essential, as is a solid understanding of low-voltage systems and installation best practices. The role suits someone who can work independently, solve problems proactively and contribute effectively to a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
You’ll be joining a dynamic company at the forefront of innovation, where you’ll play a hands-on role in shaping the next generation of intelligent engineering products. In return, you’ll receive a competitive salary, access to a company share scheme, flexible working hours, excellent progression opportunities and an employee discount programme.
