Engage Talent are working with our client who specialise in AI driven solutions to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer.
This role will require weekly visits to Aberdeen (preferable 3 days) however our client can be flexible and may also offer part-time hours for this role.
Our client is a forward-thinking organisation that leverages artificial intelligence and advanced engineering capabilities to develop and bring to market their cutting-edge robotics and automation portfolio.
As an Electrical Engineer, you will head up the electrical team in the design, development and execution of electrical systems and components for their AI powered solutions. You will work in collaboration with the cross-functional teams which includes mechanical engineers, software engineers and AI Scientists.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor electrical engineers, providing technical guidance and overseeing project deliverables.
- Design and implement electrical systems for AI-driven applications, including power distribution, control systems, and automation hardware.
- Work with AI developers, software engineers, and other teams to integrate electrical designs into robotic systems.
- Ensure designs meet safety regulations, standards, and are properly documented.
- Develop innovative electrical solutions and tackle complex technical challenges.
- Plan projects, manage budgets, and ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders to source components and manage integrations.
- Foster best practices and a culture of learning in electrical design.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and you will have strong knowledge around electrical systems design, including power distribution, control systems, and automation. You will also be familiar with design software such as EPLAN, Circuit Studio or AutoCAD and familiar with wiring harness design, component integration, sensor technologies, actuators, servo motors and control hardware.
