In this role, you will determine appropriate occupational therapy care and treatment for a geriatric population at a wide range of functional levels. As an Occupational Therapist, you will:

  • Conduct patient evaluations to assess functional abilities, daily living skills, and cognitive performance.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans focusing on activities of daily living (ADLs), functional mobility, and other goals that matter to your patients.
  • Lead wellness initiatives and group fitness classes to encourage healthy habits and social engagement among patients.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physical therapists, speech therapists, and nursing staff to support optimal patient outcomes and quality care.
  • Educate patients and families about strategies to improve independence and better quality of life.
  • Document patient care services in compliance with state and facility standards using EMR.
  • Deliver care at one or more assisted living locations, providing meaningful services to a diverse group of seniors.

About You

  • Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
  • Active or pending state license to practice occupational therapy.
  • Passion for delivering quality, evidence-based patient care.
  • Superior customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience or interest in geriatrics, with skills in adaptive equipment and ADL training.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
