The staff and Governing Board are seeking to appoint an experienced finance and administrative assistant with outstanding organisational skills and the flexibility to adapt to the challenges of the school day. You will support the School Business Manager with the administration of the school’s finances, contribute to the effective development and delivery of administrative support in all areas of school life, ensuring the work reflects the overall organisational objectives.
We are looking for candidates who have prior administration and finance experience. You will join a strong, motivated, hard‑working and friendly team with a strong pastoral ethos and high expectations.
As a successful candidate you will:
- Have previous experience of working in a school office or similar environment
- Maintain accurate records of the school's financial matters, logging income and expenditure into the school's finance system
- Process orders and invoices and manage payments received in school
- Produce BACS payments to suppliers
- Produce monthly bank reconciliation and VAT reports
- Support the Senior Leadership Team in collating information and data for reporting purposes
- Be a point of contact for the Governing Board, preparing agendas, minute committee meetings and distribute all relevant paperwork
- Be well organised and experienced in all aspects of administration and capable of working on your own initiative
- Have the ability to monitor and prioritise work in an effective and efficient manner
- Have excellent IT skills and be a proficient user of Office applications
- Be a team player with a good sense of humour, who can follow instructions and consult with colleagues and other professionals in an effective way
- A working knowledge of SIMS and FMS6 would be desirable, but not essential, as training will be provided.
