Engage Recruitment are working in partnership with a well-established, stable manufacturing company based in Glasgow to recruit a Shift Team Leader to work on the Twilight Shift (22 hours per week).
The Role: This role involves assisting Supervisors in ensuring efficient production, maintaining quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement activities across the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out production duties as required.
- Support Supervisors with job allocation and daily operations.
- Organise workstations, tools, jigs, and fixtures.
- Ensure products are assembled and packed correctly to specifications.
- Train and support operators.
- Monitor quality and investigate issues, implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and drive improvements.
- Manage component stock and highlight discrepancies.
- Assist with documentation and assembly instructions.
Requirements:
- Ideally experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment, although we would also consider retail experience.
- Previous supervisory or team leader experience is required.
- Strong attention to detail and quality focus.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
