We’re currently looking for a passionate and dedicated HLTA to join our team to work closely with the schools we’re in partnership with in Wakefield. This will be covering lessons across all primary aged groups so experience with the primary curriculum is essential.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Supporting Students
- Getting to know students and understanding how best to support their learning.
- Providing tailored support to individuals and small groups to help them stay on track.
- Building strong, positive relationships with students and setting high expectations.
- Creating a welcoming and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued.
Supporting Teachers
- Leading small group or whole-class sessions within a agreed lesson framework.
- Sharing feedback on lessons, student engagement, and classroom behaviour.
- Helping to keep the learning space organised and running smoothly.
- Tracking student progress and celebrating their achievements.
- Taking part in meetings with parents to discuss how students are doing and how they can be supported further.
What We’re Looking For:
- Someone who meets the Higher Level Teaching Assistant(HLTA) standards or is eager to achieve them within six months of starting.
- A real passion for education and helping young people succeed.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- Relevant qualifications at A-level or equivalent.
- Experience working with secondary school students.
- Creativity,enthusiasm,and a willingness to inspire and engage pupils.
