Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools (Daily Supply)

Salary: £110 - £120 per day
At Engage Education, we are supporting a range of secondary schools who are seeking flexible, reliable Cover Supervisors to support with planned and unplanned staff absences. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with young people and are looking for hands-on experience in schools. About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects
- Support classroom routines and oversee pupil behaviour
- Maintain a positive learning environment
- Assist pupils with questions during the lesson
- Follow the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies
- Collect completed work and pass it to the relevant teacher
- Provide brief feedback to staff after the lesson
You do not need prior cover supervisor experience, but some form of experience working with young people (such as youth work, coaching, mentoring, tutoring, support work or similar). Behaviour can vary between schools, so being confident, adaptable and personable is key.
