About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and inspiring Year 4 Class Teacher to join our friendly and supportive primary school in Watford. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding practitioner who is passionate about helping children achieve their full potential and develop a lifelong love of learning.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative lessons that meet the needs of all learners, maintaining high expectations for achievement and behaviour, and contributing positively to the wider life of the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress.
  • Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Support the academic, social and emotional development of pupils.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external agencies.
  • Contribute to school events, enrichment activities and the wider school community.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 4.
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills.
  • Has high expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour.
  • Is committed to inclusion and meeting the needs of all learners.
  • Is reflective, motivated and committed to professional development.
  • Works effectively as part of a team.
