A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Watford is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and help them thrive both academically and socially within a nurturing school environment.
The Role
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Supporting children with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons
- Implementing EHCPs and individual support plans
- Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour
- Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and parents to support pupil progress

- Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting is desirable
- A patient, caring and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
