Earn while you learn as a SEND Teaching Assistant. We’re recruiting a Trainee SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Special School in Huddersfield, working with students aged 5–18 with Autism and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs while completing a fully funded Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship. Pupils may have additional diagnoses including ADHD, anxiety, communication and interaction difficulties, and cognition and learning needs. The school provides a therapeutic, trauma‑informed learning environment with personalised support to help students develop academically, socially, and emotionally while preparing for their future pathways.

Key responsibilities

  • Support students 1:1 and in small groups
