About the role: This Reading Teaching Assistant role is based in an ambitious and thriving primary school in Waltham Forest. They are looking to recruit an enthusiastic graduate for the role for September 2026. You will be providing support to students across EYFS and KS1, leading phonics interventions, reading groups, and catch up groups. You’d also be responsible for phonics plans and assessments.
- Assisting in the delivery of effective interventions for phonics and early reading on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
- Helping with the planning and delivery of lessons for phonics and early reading
- Supporting pupils with their educational and behavioural development
- Preparing classroom resources
- Providing feedback to teachers and parents and writing assessments
- Helping with extracurricular activities (e.g. revision sessions)
