Location: Worthing | Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm | Role Type: Full-time

We’re looking for a confident, enthusiastic, and compassionate Learning Mentor to join a welcoming and supportive school in Worthing. This isn’t just another job—it’s a chance to genuinely change lives by supporting children who need it most.

About the School
This is a caring and inclusive setting that supports children with a range of Special Educational Needs, particularly Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges and Autism. The school adopts a therapeutic, child-centered approach and places great value on unconditional positive regard.

What We’re Looking For

• A naturally friendly and upbeat person with a strong ability to connect with children
• Someone who has worked with young people before (in any capacity), or who is passionate about learning how to do so
• Confidence in managing behaviour in a calm and supportive way
• A team player who is committed, proactive, and nurturing

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting the teacher in delivering effective learning in the classroom
• Engaging children through planned activities that support their development
• Helping to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour using a therapeutic approach
• Building strong, professional relationships with students to support their personal growth
