About the role
You will work alongside experienced teachers to support pupils with their academic, social and emotional development. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
- Helping teachers plan and deliver engaging lessons
- Supporting children with their educational and behavioural development
- Preparing classroom resources and learning activities
- Providing feedback on pupils’ progress

Our Early Career Teaching Assistant Programme combines school-based experience with a bespoke CPD programme developed by former senior school leaders and our CPD partner, Creative Education. Training includes:
- How to become an effective Teaching Assistant
- How to maximise your impact on pupils’ learning
- Special Educational Needs and Disabilities awareness
- Behaviour management
- Enhanced safeguarding training
You will also receive free access to more than 300 online courses, allowing you to develop your knowledge and specialise in areas that interest you. All applicants must have the appropriate qualifications and will require a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check before starting work. Full assistance with the DBS process can be provided.
