About the role
This Graduate Teaching Assistant position is based in a friendly and inclusive primary school in Mitcham. Starting in September, you will work closely with class teachers and support staff to help pupils reach their full potential, both academically and socially.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small intervention groups
- Assisting the class teacher with the planning and delivery of engaging lessons
- Helping children develop their confidence, communication and learning skills
- Supporting pupils with additional learning and behavioural needs where required
- Preparing classroom resources and learning materials
- Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teachers
- Encouraging positive behaviour and creating an engaging learning environment
- Assisting with school activities, trips and enrichment opportunities
