At Engage Education, we’ve specialised in recruiting nursery assistants and support staff for over a decade, so we know a bit about finding the ideal role for you. We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to work full-time at a fantastic Nursery / Primary School in Sutton from September 2026. The role will be working Monday to Friday, 08:30am – 3:30pm, supporting children within the nursery setting and helping to create a positive, engaging learning environment.
Our team has built an excellent reputation in the local area, and we’re looking for more high-quality nursery assistants to work with our schools and nurseries to positively impact the development, progress and wellbeing of young children.
Nursery Assistant duties can include:
- Working with small groups of children
- Supporting children through play‑based learning activities
- Assisting with early years development and learning
- Providing 1:1 support where required
- Helping to create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment
- Supporting children with social, emotional and communication development
The ideal applicant will have:
- Some experience working with Nursery or Early Years children
- A real passion for education and early childhood development
- Bags of creativity for stimulating and engaging young learners
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years / Support Staff qualification (preferred but not essential)
