Support Children with Additional Needs in Primary Schools Across Dewsbury. Are you passionate about helping children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) reach their full potential? We are currently recruiting compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to work with pupils who require additional support, both on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.

About the Role: As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 with a range of additional needs, including:

  • Autism
  • ADHD
  • Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
  • Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD & SLD)
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Complex and additional learning needs

You will play an important role in helping pupils access learning, build confidence, develop social skills, and achieve their individual goals within a nurturing primary school environment.

  • Have experience supporting children with SEND in a school, nursery, care, or youth work setting

Experience working with children through coaching, youth groups, theatre, mentoring, or other community settings is also highly valued.
